During the second week of January 2006 the newly elected members of the AmCham Board of Directors met and elected AmCham Officers for 2006. Donald Nicholson II, SEAF-SME Investment Management was re-elected President. Obek Khalilov, UzAIG was re-elected Vice President, Hugo Minderhoud, ABN-Amro Bank re-elected Treasurer and Christian Buchholz, Daimler Chrysler elected Secretary.

In March 2006, Jeff Erlich, Eurasia Foundation, advised the Board of Directors that he was planning to leave Uzbekistan and move to Kazakhstan. He resigned his post as a Director. The Board selected Gary Beck, Case New Holland, to fill the vacancy left by Jeff Erlich.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce our new Board of Directors member, Gary Beck. Gary is the Controller of Case New Holland, a Corporate A member of AMCHAM. Gary brings with him to the Board an excellent and broad background of business experience including finance and accounting gained while holding many positions in CNH worldwide operations.
